This technique use to get download yahoo go from your PC .

User Agent is HTTP Header to give information to server what is our browser .

So it acts to tell the server what device or sotware browser which we use

To change the User Agent string, just type about:config as an address FireFox, the location where you normally enter a URL.
After that press the right mouse button to get the context menu, New->String. Enter the preference name general.useragent.override. After that just enter the new User Agent value.

So what is this tehnique for ?

It’s very usefull if you want your Mozilla Firefox acts like Browser in Nokia ..

I use this technique to download nokia software which must make be downloaded from nokia phone .. just like yahoo go to save my bandwidth ..

For example to download yahoo go for nokia n73 ..

You can change the value of

general.useragent.override

with

Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.1; U; [en]; Series60/3.0 NokiaE60/4.06.0) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413

after that in the addres bar type :

http://get.go.yahoo.com/

you can download .jad file and find any http:// addres in that .jad file

and paste to your browser , it will download yahoo go jar

don’t forget to reset general.useragent.override after you use this technique to make your browser normal again
