Disable Autoplay USB

USB right now is standar for device plug in computer … It’s feature is auto play device ..

So when you plug your usb to computer it will auto play …

because of it’s easyness .. sometimes flash usb is be usedby virus program to autorun virus program when you plug it in usb ..

to disable autoplay usb ,,

you must do it by change registry …

here is how to do it ..

  • Open Regedit from menu Start | Run
  • Type Regedit then click OK
  • Find key HKEY_CURRENT_USER | Software | Microsoft | Windows | CurrentVersion | Policies | Explorer
  • Find an entry NoDriveTypeAutorun with a value Dword 91
  • Create new entry to turn off autoplay function by right click Edit | New | Dword Value then name it NoDriveTypeAutorun Give a value 95
  • Restart your PC

With this way , external drive will be not autoplay … so it will disable usb to autoplay when you plug in your notebook or computer …
