I like to make program ..

Here is one which i think it’s usefull ..

I call it i-Kamus  … i for Indonesia ..

I developed it one year ago to follow innovation competition ( IWIC 2007 )..

But it didn’t win …

So  i think , than i keep it ..

i should make it open and  who knows it will be usefull to anyone else

Kamus or dictionary is application to translate one language to another ..

Many dictionary is using memory card to keep the data ..

But in this i-Kamus application , i make using web service ..

The purpose is when the data is updated , we didn’t need to think about how to update the data in phone … But download the specific data from the server .. To make gprs income profit for the operator :D..

I use J2ME to  program the client phone program ..

And PHP for web service (server application) …

I use J2ME because it’s widely provide in many phone then symbian or pocket pc ..

The database still empty .. so you must enter the data so it will show up ..

just edit the   private String url = “http://localhost/kamus/Server/WebService/Kamus_WS.php”; to make the j2me dictionary work ..

PS :

You must have basic PHP and J2ME to run this program …
