Use Your Nokia N73 as Modem
Sometimes you need modem for your notebook , computer or laptop..
Your Nokia N73 or any Nokia Series 60 3rd Edition can be used for become modem for notebook using nokia cable data ..
Here is the way :
1. Just Download Nokia PC Suite Newest Edition for your computer … You can find it in google …
For Nokia N73 , you can download Nokia PC Suite right here
2. After you install nokia N73 , just connect your phone with computer or notebook using nokia cable data
3. Just see setting from your phone provider ..
My Provider is Telkomsel …
So I use this setting to connect internet using nokia as modem …
After connecting nokia to notebook … there is nokia modem in windows … You can see it by click start->setting->control panel->system->hardware->Device Manager-> Modem -> Nokia N73 USB Modem
Just right click it and see the properties ..
advanced -> extra setting just add this command at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,telkomsel if your are using gprs from telkomsel or at+cgdcont=1,”IP”,flash if you are using telkomsel flash …
this command to avoid : error 734 : the ppp link control protocol has terminated . this error means that you can not connect to the network …
make new internet connection by click start -> setting -> control panel -> Network Connection .. You will see Nokia N73 USB Modem just click it twice …
If you are using telkomsel GPRS …
just fill this ..
username = wap
password = wap123
dial number = *99***1#
If you are using telkomsel flash …
just fill this ..
username =
password =
dial number = *99***1#
For another phone provider you can ask the vendorfor fill this setting
